American biology graduates- volunteer opportunities in Canada!

Georgian Bay Turtle Hospital at Scales Nature Park is looking for volunteers! Our nature center is home to the most complete live collection of Canadian herpetofauna in the country, for use in our educational programs and research efforts. Reptile Camp now at Scales! Scales Nature Park is happy to announce that Hamilton-based Reptile Camp will be moving to our location this year! This popular day camp program has operated for over a decade, most recently at Little Ray's Reptile Zoo. Turtle nesting season is underway in central Ontario! Our Muskoka Turtle project has extended into the Lake Simcoe watershed this year and we look forward to increasing the range of our conservation efforts. This is an exciting season, however, it puts adult female turtles in a vulnerable position as they will be spending more time on land and may have to cross roads and highways in order to find suitable nesting sites.
