I belong to Big Sisters in Barrie and took my little sister to Scales on 09 September. I found the staff amazing and very informative about all of the animals. Great place for kids! I highly recommend this place and will be back for sure. Thank you Scales Nature Park!

What a great little place! All kinds of snakes and turtles. The staff were great. It's interactive in that you actually get to hold the reptiles while you learn about them. Signage to get to the place could be a little better.

No thanks to Google Maps for not getting their info correct, that app had me going way past where Scales actual location was! I called and a friendly staff member told me exactly where they were, and we got there without any further assistance from Google.

Anyways, this place is a diamond in the rough. What it lack is astetics it more than makes up in the experience. They young lady that took us exhibit by exhibit was awesome. I just wish I remembered her name. The experience was better than Reptilia simply because of the animal interaction. Our guide took out many of the snakes for us to enjoy up close and personal! My daughter was even able to conquer her fear of snakes. Thank you Scales Nature Park for a great experience, we'll be sure to return for another tour!

For starters wonderful location right off the 400 easy to find. Wonderful facility with a variety of turtles snakes fish and frogs to name a few. Great to see all the work that you're doing to help the baby turtles with a better success of surviving. Also awesome to see how many university students studying wildlife biology that you hire over the summer months to support you with your education in camp programs for kids keep up the great work. We definitely will be back again soon - maybe next time we'll even handle a snake or two ??

What an amazing experience for my reptile loving daughter! We drove up specifically for the centre and we were not disappointed. My girl was in Heaven being able to hold all the animals. The staff was fantastic! We were there on June 3/17 first thing in the morning and my kid pretty much didn't stop talking about it for the entire ride home.

The grandchildren had a great time. It was our first visit and we learned a lot about the snakes and other crawly creatures. The staff was very polite, informative, and spoke to the children and answered their inquisitive questions. A great day!! Would love to hear the dates and times of the Halloween festivities sounds like a great adventure...Thank you

This is truly a fantastic, hands-on experience, with an emphasis on conservation and treating every creature with care and compassion. Every person who visits is given attention and the best possible experience. The staff is caring and conscientious, and one visit is definitely not enough!

The staff was amazing during Halloween... all of them were fully into the spirit of the holiday for the kids and extremely knowledgeable during our tour... as well as respectful of the big babies we call our spouses who were scared of my daughter holding the snakes. Had a fantastic time... we will definitely be back!

It was wonderful to have such a hands on experience with the animals. Traditionally it's look don't touch, but here you can interact with the animals. It makes for a great learning and so much fun for children and parents. The staff are very knowledgeable and great with my kids. We are looking forward to going back again soon.
